Trip to Islay
In January I had to nip over to Islay for a job with work. It took me about five and a half hours to get to Kennacraig where I then jumped on the ferry to Port Askaig in Islay. We'd had some pretty heavy weather so there was snow everywhere. Along the way the scenery was amazing heading through Crieff and then through Inverary. There were a lot of deer in the hills by the side of the road (I took care to avoid the wildlife after the incident with my windscreen and the pheasant). I managed to scope out quite a few potential kayak locations which I can't wait to try when the weather gets better and the crazy lockdown has been lifted.
